Pinetop sadly passed away recently and this record is a fitting tribute to the great man, especially when you hear the eleven songs on this album which, as its title says, was actually recorded in Clarksdale, Mississippi. It’s Me, which is the opening track, moves along at a very good speed. Mark’s harmonica sets the song alight and, when combined with more-thancapable guitar playing, creates a tune that must be seen performed live to be fully appreciated.

Many of the remaining songs have this stonking live sound which impresses from every angle. Having seen the band perform at the 2010 Southsea Folk & Roots Festival, the glorious sound I heard then can be heard on this record. Although they might not be known by the wider public yet, they are the ones that are missing out on a superb band.
